Useful while comparing sale prices while actually shopping.

Find the real sale price in seconds

Shops love "30% off" and "flat 50% sale" signs, but it is not always easy to work out the final price in your head. Enter the original price and the discount percentage, and this calculator shows exactly how much you save and what you will pay.

How the discount is calculated

Savings = original price × discount ÷ 100. Final price = original price − savings. For example, a 4,000 rupee shirt with 25% off saves 1,000 rupees, so you pay 3,000.

Smart shopping tips

  • Two discounts are not added together: "20% + 10% extra" means 10% off the already reduced price, which is 28% in total, not 30%.
  • Check whether tax or delivery is added after the discount.
  • Compare the final price with other shops — a big percentage on an inflated original price is not always a good deal.

Shop owners can also use this tool to set sale prices and see how much margin they keep.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can this calculator handle multiple stacked discounts?
It calculates one discount percentage per use. For stacked discounts (e.g., 20% off, then an additional 10%), apply it twice in sequence rather than adding the percentages together, since stacked discounts don't simply add up.
How do I find the original price from a sale price?
Use the reverse calculation option: enter the final (discounted) price and the discount percentage, and it works backward to the original price.
